Sunny, our Cavalier King Charles born in the Autumn of 2022, is Survivors Can Shine’s very own mascot. Known for his sweet temperament and great snuggles, he’s our Ambassador for Change therapy dog and has been a great support for many children and young people, as well as our staff and volunteers.   

He comes along to the I Shine Speak Out workshops, and also to the Ambassadors For Change community events, where he provides comfort for children, young people, families and volunteers, many of whom have experienced trauma and adversity. Spending time with Sunny can help regulate emotions and gets children walking and talking and out into the fresh air!  

Whether for space, cost, time or another reason, many people don’t get to experience growing up with a pet of their own, and Sunny brings unconditional love to everybody he meets.   

We look forward to him growing with us an organisation.
